Dear Students, As Gokhale Education Society is committed to student's empowerment through access to Quality Education at all levels, the Society has started Degree Programme in Physiotherapy in established Sir Dr. M. S. Gosavi College of Physiotherapy and Healthcare Management from Academic Year 2018-19 as an important Centenary Project endorsing it motto 'Above Self, Above Politics' venturing ahead. The independent college building situated in the heart of the Nasik City is located in a separate beautiful premises of 3 acres. The college has built up construction of over 2500 square feet with all facilities including Hostels, Quarters & Playground as per norms of statutory bodies. The conductive teaching / learning environment is a great strength and asset of the college. The programme is recognized by the Government of Maharashtra, Maharashtra state OTPT Council, Maharashtra University of Health Sciences. The Physiotherapy college has well equipped class laboratories, computer centre, well-furnished Library with rich resource of textbooks, newspapers, periodicals etc. made available for students & staff, common rooms for boys and girls and toilet facilities. The college has an auditorium with 200 seating capacity, separate examination hall with 100 seating capacity, students' welfare hall, guidance and counseling room. The library has facility of Internet with E-Library free of cost. The college has variety of audio - visual aids like LCD Projectors, TV, OHP, specimens, human cadavers, models, charts, boards etc. to enrich teaching - learning effectiveness. Entire Premises is under CCTV Coverage. Students are enriched with various support services like Induction programmes, soft skills development programmes, personality development programmes, career guidance and campus placement etc. Seminars as a learning method and method of holistic development is a special feature of the Society, and also updated knowledge in areas of A.I. The Physiotherapy College has systems of Best Awards for students for encouragement in future career. Authorities of the Society including the principal of the college are always ready for guidance. For the past 108 years, the Gokhale Education Society has been a pioneer in the field of education, nurturing generations of students through its wide network of institutions across Maharashtra. Established in 1918 with the vision of developing responsible citizens through education and training, the Society today serves more than 1.25 lakh students through over 140 educational units, offering diverse programmes from foundational to professional education. The establishment of this physiotherapy college as a part of the Society's centenary initiatives (2008-2018) reflects our commitment to strengthening paramedical and allied healthcare education. The college has made commendable progress in creating a supportive academic environment with well-equipped laboratories, modern classrooms, and learning facilities that promote skill-based education and professional competence. Such initiatives are essential in preparing students to contribute effectively to healthcare services and community well-being. We are also witnessing transformative developments in education with the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which promotes multidisciplinary learning, skill development, experiential education, and flexibility in academic pathways. Our institutions are aligning themselves with these reforms by strengthening outcome-based education, promoting interdisciplinary exposure, and encouraging innovation and research. At the same time, the rapid advancement of technology, including digital learning platforms, simulation-based training, and data-driven healthcare practices, is reshaping the future of medical and paramedical education. Our focus remains on equipping students with technological competence and professional adaptability required in modern healthcare environments.
